Temecula has been quietly making 91-94 point Italian, Rhône, and Iberian wines for two decades. Falkner, Renzoni, Lorenzi, Palumbo. Even the tourism operations have serious wines hiding behind the tasting counter. The wine world has never taken this region seriously — but the ratings say it should.
This to me is a valuable history lesson. It talks about the wine also but about the people and the land of this important area of California
